The Trybox explores new materials and daylighting to create a warm, yet modern structure. Charred cedar shingles (sho-sugi ban), reclaimed steel, landscape blends, are allowed to play together here. An open central core and escape-style bedrooms play with public & private space. Investigations in traditional material treatments leads to a blending, artfully-textured experience. Truly modern and clearly organized spaces become inviting, through this process.
